Hi, my name is Peggy Jo Stanley and welcome to my cyber classroom! I have been involved in Christian education since January of 1977 when I graduated from Bob Jones University. My first teaching position was at Houston Christian School in Houston, Texas from January 1977 to August of 1979. From Houston I moved to Athens, Georgia where I still reside. I taught at Athens Christian School for 20 years from 1979 to 1999. I still am a "Yankee" at heart being born in South Bend, Indiana and living up north (Indiana, Michigan, & Iowa) till I went off to college in the sunny south (Greenville, S.C.). I love Georgia and the kids at school tease me about calling Coke, "pop." Currently I teach at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy and have been here since August of 1999. Some of my hobbies are fishing, gardening, computers, Christian music, and crafts. My church home is the Gateway UMC.
Over the coarse of 33 years I've taught a wide variety of subjects: 7th grade
math, life science, and Bible; physical education from 3rd grade through 11th
grade; 8th grade math, earth science and Bible; 9th grade algebra I; 10th grade
biology; and 11th grade basic geometry. I have also been involved in
officiating, coaching and assistant coaching: volleyball, softball, and
basketball. I love working with young people, our future leaders and home
builders. What an awesome responsibility and privilege!
I currently teach 7th grade life science and forensics.
